What instrument Esther plays:  Only bass.  Only rhythm.  Anything else she'd have to work at and she plays for the fun of it.
Favorite musicians:  She prefers traditional bluegrass like the Stanley Brothers, Bill Monroe, and the Bluegrass Cardinals.  She also listens to a lot of Arcady and Odetta, and there's always Ray Charles.
Favorite songs:  The old songs -- Uncle Pen, Bonaparte's Retreat, Sally Ann, Little Maggie, Molly and Tenbrook, Salty Dog
Hobbies:  Reading, visiting my granddaughter, cleaning the shed


Ken Malhoit -- banjo

Bobby Lawson -- guitar, vocals

First band Bobby loved:  At age 3, he loved C&W artists on WSM radio and by age 15, he was obsessed by instrumentals of the Ventures.

  Guitar and fiddle.  His favorite guitars are Bozung guitars.  He currently plays a Horner fiddle and is quite satisfied with it, though every fiddler's dream is an original Stradivarius.
